When you are sick and in pain you're looking for a chiropractor you can trust and deliver the best care possible. Here are 5 quick tips you should consider when choosing a chiropractor.
1) Can you receive an appointment the same day? If your suffering in pain or are sick and your now ready to get your health back you shouldn't have to wait two weeks or more for an appointment. At Johnson Chiropractic and Rehabilitation I pride myself on being able to get patients in the same day. Why suffer for a minute longer if it's avoidable.
2) Are there other services available besides just chiropractic? When you have any type of a health condition you want to have as many options as possible at your disposal to help return your body to true health. You want to make sure that who ever you see has all the tools necessary. In my office I love the fact that I offer not only the Best Chiropractic Care that you can find but also full service Physical Therapy, Massage, and I offer Natural Solutions to Weight Loss, Type 2 Diabetes, and many other health conditions as well.
3) What testing will be done to make sure my condition can be treated with chiropractic? Whenever you see any doctor it is very important that you receive the most accurate diagnosis possible. If you need x-rays are they on site or will you need to go elsewhere? If you need an MRI will the doctor give you the referral that you require? When it comes to patients that I treat the first thing that I do is take an accurate history of your condition. After that a thorough examination is performed and the imaging studies taken will be determined based on those facts. All x-rays are done on site and an MRI can typically be completed off site any where from the same day to 3 days based on availability. Don't guess about your health get proper testing. Testing early almost always leads to better results.
4) How quickly can you have your results? I'm always prepared to review my findings with my patients the following day. This is very important to be able to attack your health condition as quickly as possible. The most important commodity that any of has is time so let's not waste any.
5) Is it affordable? Today most health plans offer some type of chiropractic coverage. Make sure all costs and methods of payments are explained up front so you don't accrue a large unexpected bill. I accept all major health plans. You can even call my office for a free benefits check so you'll know ahead of time what is covered and what isn't. I don't like surprises nor should you.
